VibeFix is a contest-based marketplace. Vibe Coders post bounties for broken apps; Bounty Hunters compete to fix them. By using VibeFix, you agree to everything below. We've written it in plain English — no legalese.

1. How Bounties Work

VibeFix uses a contest model. When you post a bounty:

  • You choose between a Free Bounty (no payment — Bounty Hunters compete for reputation & XP) or a Paid Bounty (cash reward paid to the winning Bounty Hunter).
  • Multiple Bounty Hunters can work on it simultaneously.
  • Bounty Hunters submit their solutions. You review all submissions and pick the one that works best.
  • Only the accepted submission wins. All others receive nothing.
  • For paid bounties: VibeFix charges a 20% platform fee on top of the bounty amount.

Free Bounty: post for free — winner earns XP & reputation.

Paid Bounty example: You set a $100 bounty.

→ You pay: $120 (bounty + 20% fee)

→ Winning Bounty Hunter receives: $100

→ VibeFix keeps: $20

2. For Vibe Coders: Payment & Refunds

Free bounties

Free bounties cost nothing to post. Bounty Hunters compete for reputation and XP. No payment is collected or released. You can post, accept, and close free bounties at any time with no financial obligation.

Paid bounties — pay upfront

Payment is collected when you post a paid bounty. Your money is held by VibeFix and only released to a Bounty Hunter when you explicitly accept their solution. You are never charged just because someone submitted.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. By making a payment, you consent to sharing your name, email, and transaction details with Razorpay for payment processing, fraud prevention, and compliance with applicable laws. Razorpay's use of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel a bounty — and receive a full refund — under these conditions:

  • Open In Progress — No submissions yet. You can cancel anytime for a full refund.
  • Has Submissions — Developers have already submitted work. Cancellation at this stage is at VibeFix's discretion. Contact hello@vibefix.co.
  • Completed — You accepted a submission. No refund is possible.

14-day auto-refund policy

If no submission has been accepted within 14 calendar days of your bounty going live, you are entitled to a full refund. Email hello@vibefix.co to request it. We process refunds within 5 business days.

Important

Refunds are to your original payment method. VibeFix does not retain any portion of the bounty or platform fee when a full refund is issued.

3. Rejecting Submissions

You are never forced to accept a submission. You may reject any or all submissions if they do not fix your problem.

  • Rejected Bounty Hunters receive no payment (paid bounties) and no XP reward (free bounties).
  • After rejection, the bounty remains open. The same Bounty Hunter may revise and resubmit, or new ones can submit.
  • You are not required to provide a reason for rejection, but we encourage brief feedback so Bounty Hunters can improve.

Acting in bad faith (e.g., rejecting a working solution to avoid payment, then using the fix) violates these terms. VibeFix may withhold future access and, at our discretion, release payment to the Bounty Hunter.

4. For Bounty Hunters

You compete at your own risk

Submitting a solution does not guarantee payment or reward. This is a contest — only the accepted solution wins. By submitting, you accept the risk of working without guaranteed compensation.

Free bounty rewards

  • When a Vibe Coder accepts your submission on a free bounty, you earn XP and reputation on your public profile.
  • XP and reputation are non-transferable and have no monetary value.

Paid bounty payouts

  • When a Vibe Coder accepts your submission on a paid bounty, your bounty amount is credited to your VibeFix wallet.
  • You can request a payout once your wallet balance reaches $100.
  • Payouts are processed manually via bank transfer within 3–5 business days of your request.
  • VibeFix does not charge Bounty Hunters any fee. The 20% fee is paid by the Vibe Coder.

Submission quality

  • Your submission must include a clear description of what you fixed and how.
  • Submitting plagiarised code, AI-generated solutions without verification, or solutions that don't address the problem described is prohibited.

5. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership

Who owns the code

  • Bounty Hunters retain ownership of the code they write and submit to VibeFix.
  • When a Vibe Coder accepts a submission, the Bounty Hunter grants the Vibe Coder a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, modify, distribute, and sublicense the submitted code in any way they see fit.
  • Until a submission is accepted, no license is granted. If a submission is rejected, the Bounty Hunter retains full rights to their code.

VibeFix's rights

  • VibeFix does not claim ownership of any code submitted by Bounty Hunters or any content posted by Vibe Coders.
  • By posting content on VibeFix (job descriptions, screenshots, findings, comments), you grant VibeFix a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the platform.

Your responsibility

  • You represent that any code, content, or materials you submit to VibeFix are your original work or that you have the right to submit them.
  • You must not submit code that infringes on any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights, patents, or trade secrets.
  • If you use open-source code in your submission, you must comply with the applicable open-source license and disclose it in your submission description.

6. Playground

The Playground ("Try to Break It") lets you submit a URL for the community to test. By using the Playground, you agree to the following:

Submitting a URL

  • You may only submit URLs for sites you own, operate, or have explicit permission to test.
  • By posting a URL, you are inviting the VibeFix community to find bugs, UX issues, and security vulnerabilities on your site.
  • Playground submissions are public. Anyone can view your URL and submitted findings.
  • You will receive email notifications when new findings are submitted (if you have an email on file).

Submitting findings

  • Findings must be submitted in good faith. Spam, false reports, and duplicate findings may be removed.
  • You may submit findings anonymously or provide a name and email. If you provide an email, it will only be used to notify you if the finding is escalated to a bounty.
  • No destructive testing. You must not perform actions that could damage, degrade, or disrupt the target site. This includes denial-of-service attacks, data destruction, unauthorized data exfiltration, or any action that modifies production data.
  • Testing is limited to passive observation and standard user interactions (clicking, filling forms, inspecting responses).

Escalation to bounty

The playground owner may escalate one or more findings into a paid or free bounty. When a finding is escalated, it is linked to a new bounty job and marked as such. The submitter's email (if provided) may be used to notify them of the escalation.

Liability

VibeFix is not responsible for findings submitted about your site. We provide the platform; we do not verify or validate findings. VibeFix is also not liable for any actions taken by community members while testing your site.

7. Diagnose Tool

The Diagnose tool runs automated checks (including Lighthouse audits and headless browser analysis) against a URL you provide.

  • You may only submit URLs for sites you own, operate, or have explicit authorization to scan.
  • By submitting a URL, you authorize VibeFix to access the site using automated tools and generate a diagnostic report.
  • Scan results are stored on VibeFix servers. Free scans show a preview (5 issues); full results require payment or social proof verification.
  • VibeFix does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of scan results. Reports are informational only and do not constitute professional security auditing, penetration testing, or compliance certification.
  • Scans are rate-limited (3 per hour for anonymous users, 10 per hour for authenticated users).
  • VibeFix is not liable for any actions you take based on scan results.

8. API & MCP Usage

VibeFix provides an API and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for programmatic access to the platform.

  • API access requires an API key generated from your dashboard. Your API key is a secret — treat it like a password. Do not share it publicly or embed it in client-side code.
  • You are responsible for all actions performed using your API key. If you suspect unauthorized use, regenerate it immediately from your dashboard.
  • VibeFix may rate-limit, throttle, or revoke API access at any time without notice if usage is excessive, abusive, or violates these terms.
  • You must not use the API to scrape data, build competing products, or redistribute VibeFix content without written permission.
  • The API and MCP server are provided "as is" with no uptime guarantees. VibeFix may modify, deprecate, or discontinue API endpoints at any time.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit fraudulent bounties, fake submissions, or fabricated findings.
  • Use VibeFix to harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Submit code containing malware, backdoors, or intentionally harmful components.
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate the system (sockpuppeting).
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the VibeFix platform.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from VibeFix beyond what is available through the public API.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform, servers, or networks connected to VibeFix.
  • Impersonate another user, person, or entity.
  • Use VibeFix for any illegal activity or to violate the rights of others.
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures.

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of wallet balance, and where applicable, legal action.

10. Disputes

Either party may raise a dispute by emailing hello@vibefix.co. A disputed job is moved to Disputed status and frozen until resolved.

VibeFix's decision on disputed payments is final. We aim to resolve all disputes within 7 business days.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Read carefully

VibeFix is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any code, fixes, or solutions submitted by Bounty Hunters.
  • We do not guarantee that any bounty will receive submissions, or that submissions will solve your problem.
  • Diagnostic scan results, AI-generated summaries, and playground findings are informational only. They are not professional audits or certifications.
  • You are solely responsible for testing, reviewing, and validating any code or fix before deploying it to production.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VibeFix disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • VibeFix, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunity, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the platform.
  • VibeFix is not liable for any damage caused by code submitted by Bounty Hunters, including but not limited to data loss, security breaches, downtime, or corruption of your application.
  • VibeFix is not liable for any actions taken by community members during Playground testing or Diagnose scans.
  • In no event shall VibeFix's total aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to VibeFix in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VibeFix, its founders, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the platform or any content you submit.
  • Code you submit that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Your violation of these Terms & Conditions.
  • Any damage caused by code you submitted that was deployed by a Vibe Coder.
  • Findings or testing activities you perform on sites listed in the Playground.
  • Your use of the API, MCP server, or Diagnose tool in a manner that violates these terms or applicable law.

This indemnification obligation survives the termination of your account.

14. Account Termination

By you

You may request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@vibefix.co. We will process your request within 30 days.

By VibeFix

  • VibeFix may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these terms or any other reason at our sole discretion.
  • For non-urgent violations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email before termination.
  • For severe violations (fraud, malware, harassment, illegal activity), we may terminate immediately without notice.

Effect of termination

  • Pending payouts may be forfeited if termination is due to a violation of these terms.
  • Your public profile, job listings, and submissions may be anonymized but may remain on the platform for record-keeping.
  • Payment and transaction records are retained per our data retention policy regardless of account status.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Indemnification, Limitation of Liability, Disclaimer of Warranties, and IP) will survive.

15. General

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to use VibeFix. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
  • VibeFix reserves the right to remove any job or user that violates these terms.
  • We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you by email for material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
  • VibeFix is not responsible for the quality of code or fixes provided by Bounty Hunters.
  • Payment and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 10 years as required by applicable financial regulations.
  • If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect (severability).
  • VibeFix's failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
  • These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and VibeFix regarding the use of the platform.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, India.
